Tiandangba Sluice is located in Leiting Village, Huangqiao Town, Dongkou County, on the Nanshui River along the upper reaches of Zishui River. It is a large Type (II) sluice project mainly used for irrigation and also used for flood control, navigation and power generation. The controlled drainage area is 2,615 km2 and the designed discharge through the sluice is 4,970 m3/s. The construction mainly concludes: plant reinforcement (including the pump house on the left bank), sluice reinforcement, ship lock reinforcement, traffic engineering, foundation reinforcement and bank treatment, etc.
