The Shenzhen Bay Bridge in Guangdong Province is a cable-stayed bridge finally completed in July 2007. It is China's first cross-sea land passage between the mainland and Hong Kong. At that time, it was the world's widest single-plane cable-stayed bridge and China’s widest highway bridge featured by the longest design life and highest construction standards; known as “Rainbow Over the Sea”.
